Accurate as-built data is a critical component of any planning and design process – a fact that rings especially true in the realm of adaptive reuse projects. For buildings that were originally constructed decades or more ago, like so many in the metro-Washington D.C. area, the little data that is available is often inaccurate.

Over the course of 18 months of construction, our Southeast teammates built the Blackbaud World Headquarters in Charleston, SC. This 172,000-square-foot office complex, complete with parking for 650 vehicles, is part of the Daniel Island community.

This stunning drone footage was taken by Multivista in celebration of Balfour Beatty’s topping out of The Independent, a soaring 58-story residential tower in the heart of downtown Austin, Texas. It was a double the celebration as the team was also honored for 850,000 person-hours without a lost time accident. Congratulations to the Austin office on reaching both of these significant milestones.
