Colby is a thirty-year industry veteran who has built an impressive portfolio of public projects. He has spent the past decade as a campus mainstay at UNC-Wilmington, where he has successfully delivered renovations, new construction and P3 projects. Colby brings an unwavering commitment to safety with many of his projects completing with zero recordable incidents. He holds a degree in Construction Engineering Management from Utah Valley State College.

Hunt has spent his entire career serving as a Relentless Ally for Balfour Beatty and our clients. His ability to cultivate and connect relationships across the marketplace have been the cornerstone for the success he has led our teams to. Hunt holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University

With nearly 30 years of industry experience, Jeff has provided operational leadership to clients in both the public and private sectors on a variety of projects including tenant improvements, additions, expansions, renovations, and large ground up core and shell. Jeff’s collaborative style and strong communication skills have established him as a proven leader and a relentless ally for his clients. Jeff holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech.

Jeff Sandeen serves as Balfour Beatty’s president in the Carolinas overseeing operations in North- and South Carolina. Jeff uses his extensive experience in the Carolinas to drive the company’s strategic growth efforts, deliver expert services locally and expand client partnerships across different regions.

Jeff has been with the company for 10 years providing strategic oversight in the Carolinas and leading teams through a vast portfolio of large projects throughout the area. Jeff has overseen notable projects including Forsyth County’s modernized courthouse and University of North Carolina-Wilmington’s Student Village in North Carolina, The Jasper and Emanuel Nine Memorial in Charleston and the delivery of Raleigh-Durham Airport’s Runway 5L/23R Replacement construction program.

Vice President of Operations Shelly Goodwin provides unparalleled field experience. Looking at safety through an operations focus, on the premise of planning, is a differentiator Shelly brings to every project he works on. He is a well-respected leader by his peers and in the local communities he’s served for more than 30 years.

Tequesta DeSouza is an accomplished Vice President of Human Resources for the Southeast, renowned for her expertise in talent management, employee relations, change management, and coaching. As a trusted advisor and business partner, she collaborates with operations to develop strategies aimed at building exceptional teams and fostering a best-place-to-work culture. She is also the founder of Future Unleashed, LLC, a company dedicated to empowering young adults for successful careers. Recognized as a Power Leader in Human Resources by the South Florida Business Journal in 2016, Tequesta is esteemed for her professionalism and leadership. A member of the Society for Human Resource Management and a former president of the Human Resources Association of Broward County, she holds a Master’s in Human Resources from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University, along with prestigious HR certifications.

Tom Booth brings three decades of experience to his role and has worked on some of the most notable projects across the Southeast region spanning the corporate office, higher education, healthcare, hospitality and public/civic markets. Tom holds a degree in civil engineering from UNC-Charlotte and has received a number of professional accolades.

With more than 30 years of experience, Tony is a shining example of not only setting high-performance standards, but also providing the leadership to meet them. Tony has strong field supervisory experience, including monitoring subcontractors and craft employees. He has a BS in building construction and contracting from Purdue University.

Trent’s leadership has been instrumental in nurturing Balfour Beatty’s long-standing relationship with valued aviation clients and executing on the challenges of working in an active airport environment. Since joining Balfour Beatty in 2013, his home away from home has been RDU, building over 1 million square-feet for his hometown airport. Trent holds a degree in Construction Engineering Management from North Carolina State University.
