I-635 East
The 635 East project will reconstruct and widen 11 miles of interstate highway from US 75 to I-30, including the I-635/I-30 interchange, and construct service roads and numerous intersection improvements to relieve congestion, provide local connectivity, and improve safety in Dallas, Texas.
In a joint venture, Balfour Beatty will design and deliver an upgraded interstate highway that will consist of 12 lanes in total, widening general-purpose lanes from eight to ten, and reconstruct existing, tolled managed lanes in compliance with interstate standards.
As part of the statewide Texas Clear Lanes initiative, the 635 East project is organized to address the most congested roadways in the state’s metropolitan areas. Once complete, the interstate will improve safety and reduce congestion for more than 200,000 drivers who use I-635 daily.
Construction began in the spring of 2020, with an expected completion in late 2024.
